Welcome to your Second Trimester! Have questions? Find your answers here
The second trimester is commonly known as the honeymoon period of the pregnancy as it is a relatively easier period. This trimester lasts from week 13 to week 28 and is the middle phase of pregnancy. You will notice your “baby bump” and feel the baby moving around in the womb for the first time. You will also notice that you aren’t feeling as fatigued and the nausea has faded.
The baby is growing big and now weighs about 1.5 ounces. The little fingers have formed, their heart is pumping blood and they are starting to hear. As for you, the physical change will be the growing belly and you will feel little kicks from the growing baby. You need to continue taking prenatal vitamins, working out, drinking water and eating healthy and enough.
Even though this trimester is easier than what you have gone through in the past 3 months, you cannot let your guard down. You need to understand your pregnancy and prepare yourself for further changes that are going to take place.
