I wore these constantly for the first 6 weeks after my c-section and they keep a constant pressure on your incision and stomach so that you feel protected and safe to move, cough, sneeze, all the normal things that cause pain. I am so glad I bought these after my c-section. They come up over my belly button and keep the band off my incision. I wear a size large (10-12 pants) and ordered these in x-large and they fit great postpartum.
