Changing mats might not seem like an essential item on your list or even something that you thought about till you stumbled across this article, but as a first-time mum, I can tell you that having a dedicated place for changing diapers is invaluable. Our changing mat is one of the most used products in our house, and it’s saved our sanity more than once because we have everything we need to change our baby centered around that one mat specially when the baby poops or pees.
Also keep in mind, baby changing pads help keep the baby comfortable, safe and secure for all the diaper changes you are going to go through during the day AND NIGHT.
Now you might not need the mat we got but having one is essential to ensure that you are not constantly washing linen as you’ve been using your bed or your couch as a changing mat within your house. These are different from the portable changing mats you will get that will be an essential part of your diaper/nappy bag to ensure that when you are out, you have a clean place to change your baby in.
